Why I Do What I Do
Experiencing challenge is a universal human condition. What defines us as unique is the way we face challenges and overcome them. Your path forward can’t be prescribed by anyone else. It will depend solely on your values, your personal strengths, and your goals for the future. I look forward to learning about all the ways you are distinct, and walking with you to facilitate your journey as your strengths are explored and brought to the forefront of your life.
Each client is unique, and each client deserves a unique approach that is tailored to suit their needs.

About Me
My primary approach to counselling is Person-Centered. I am inspired by the works of Existential Psychotherapists, and also draw from more directive approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectic Behavior Therapy. I have training in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy, and continue to engage in the life-long learning that is so rewarding to myself and beneficial to my clients. I have undergraduate degrees in Physics and Secondary Science Education, and a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
I bring authentic curiosity, empathy, humility, and respect to each session. I am a committed ally to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, and I welcome the opportunity to work with families and couples who embrace non-traditional structures. After nearly 2 decades working in school settings, I have a tremendous appreciation for adolescents and young adults. I feel privileged to work with clients 17+ and their families.

Caring Services, Tailored to You
Pivotal moments of change can leave us feeling anchorless. Counselling can help ground us. It allows us the opportunity to sift through outside noise and focus on the shifting feelings and somatic reactions which occur during deep explorations of values and goals.
Many of us will experience periods of heightened anxiety, which can impact our sleep, our work performance, and our ability to navigate relationships in a positive way. Therapy can help. An empathetic exploration of the root issues impacting your current situation can help us collaboratively build a plan to help you move through challenging times towards a clearer calm.
Loving families and partnerships come in all shapes and sizes, and all are deserving of empathy and respect.
Whether you’re navigating conflict with a family member or strife within a romantic partnership, working with a counsellor can help ensure each person feels heard. A trained counsellor can provide a safe space for all parties to explore the underlying factors fueling the conflict and learn new ways to communicate their needs effectively.
